Introduction

Designed in 1917, Apotek Hotel by Keahotels is widely considered to be one of Reykjavik’s oldest and most cherished buildings due to its longstanding history. Formerly known as the pharmacy Reykjavikur Apotek, the hotel intentionally restored and protected the building’s original characteristics. You can find pieces of the history throughout the hotel, including at the award winning Apotek Kitchen & Bar where you can experience an artisan style cocktail with a pharmaceutical twist – an exciting nod to the hotel’s history and definitely a must-do when you’re there!
